Teaching is a skill, a real art which is hugely undervalued. And as much as we may get direct highs through the individual interactions and achievements of our students, the outside drag or dealing with dissatisfaction or people who undervalue our craft can often leave us feeling deflated and struggling for air.
This is why I created this space, specifically for us teachers to connect with other teachers.
A place to share.
A place to learn.
A place to feel valued.
Please make it your own, and through it let's rethink learning so we can bring our students to even greater heights!
Together let's take learning to levels we never imagined possible.
Please introduce yourself below, share with us what you love about learning and teaching and also what you would like to see done better :)
Hi all,
My name's Ruth and I've been in learning, teaching and research for the past twenty years. I've always been fascinated by the way the brain learns and psychology and seen these two factors as direct ways we can positively impact learning and let people experience results they never imagined possible. Just watching the smile on someone's face when they discover they have achieved something they never imagined they could completely lights up my world.
It's what I want to be able to multiply on a much larger scale, hence why I first set up my website and now this forum, to be able to share, exchange and inspire, because the future as I see it, is not one of competition, but one of collaboration, because through collaboration we grow, through collaboration we become strong, and through collaboration we implement changes and create the future we want our children and grandchildren to live in.
Really looking forward to collaborating with each of you and reading your story and your ideas for learning and teaching. What inspires you?
